I don't necessarily think they are separate entities. I think they are linked, and probably even share information. But the modes of working with these spirits/deities are well established, and I wouldn't alter them without serious consideration. Otherwise you could invite the displeasure of the goddess by offering her celestial form blood or some similar faux pas from trying to combine differing modes of worship in an offensive way. I'm not saying it can't be done, I just think doing it right would be a lot of work and might not be worth it
