This reminds me that probably 14 years ago now, I designed a cat OC who uses Turkana Arait, which are a wrist-worn blade, so he can keep his claws free.
I sketched him real quick.

He used to be a comedy relief character who constantly got killed in gory ways. The very first interaction he has is getting hit by Amy and his entire head exploding into chunks.
He would always come back without explanation, because he was secretly some kind of regenerating weapon. Very original, donut steel.
Eventually I removed him and his lot from the Sonic world and he became some kind of jealous serial killer, but I didn't take that story anywhere.
