While that armour is meant to be a more standard officer uniform with a chest piece (The idea was based on Imperial officers from star wars when they have their chest armour.
She also has actual combat armour for when in a warzone. Bit edgy I know but I really like it. The artist had a cool idea of making the power/antennae pack on the back Obot themed. This reminds me that probably 14 years ago now, I designed a cat OC who uses Turkana Arait, which are a wrist-worn blade, so he can keep his claws free.
I sketched him real quick.

He used to be a comedy relief character who constantly got killed in gory ways. The very first interaction he has is getting hit by Amy and his entire head exploding into chunks.
He would always come back without explanation, because he was secretly some kind of regenerating weapon. Very original, donut steel.
Eventually I removed him and his lot from the Sonic world and he became some kind of jealous serial killer, but I didn't take that story anywhere.

You're overthinking it. Looking at it again, just ditch that neck shit entirely and lean into his snake figure. Make him do curved poses, poised like he's ready to strike. If you need a "weapon", asides from his fangs, use the tail. Make it sharp or poisonous or something, or a rattlesnake's tail he can use to beat others with. But lean into the snake form. The design is already there. You just need to play to its details. All Sonic designs do this.

Well, I know Sonic characters don't adhere to a specific subspecies, but consider what the other anon said again and play into what animals do well, and emphasize them into abilities.

The design looks like a polish Archie design, but I also don't know what this guy can do at first glance, which is the problem. Consider combining all sorts of snake-like traits into one, or leaning into one good species to exaggerate on.
Or the opposite, think 'gamey' mechanics like a King Cobra that can glide with its flaps. I want to infer what your Sonic character can do from their design, like how Knuckles is self-explanatory, or how Shadow needs a more close look but you can still see that the air-shoes are more intricate than classic Sonic's footwear, meaning maybe something behind the hood.
