it's not the weapon, it's bad habits. .96 punishes you for shoddy aim, for "sticking", and for needlessly jumping. the gun itself is actually more accurate than splattershot, you just have to actually aim those shots pre-emptively, you can't spray the opponent down or rely on feedback because the fire rate is too slow and punishing.
