Almost everyone that keeps playing SV2 says the same thing, just grind more or spend money.
The main issue is that the game will become more hostile to newfags as time goes on.
Currently it feels bad with only 1 expansion available, it will be much worse trying to fill the card collection once 3 or 5 expansions are released.

The japanese are infamous for not caring at all about abusive monetization.
In fact during the WuWa and Genshin controversies, the japanese were the only ones defending Mihoyo and KuroGames by calling everyone else entitled.
It's very rare for the japanese to complain about stuff like this, if the economy is shit they will not just not play the game instead of making a fuss, which could affect the revenue obviously.
