>What would become of the Vorta and Jem'Hadar after Odo cures the changelings and convinces them to pacify (presumably)?
i hadn't thought of that before but...their mission is pretty much genetically hardcoded into them right? like, the mission of violence and subjugation as part of subservience to the Founders because that's what they were bred for so like if the Founders suddenly change the mission, the existing ones are kind of just obsolete right? I think they'd just live out their natural lives in meaningless existences because they no longer serve a purpose and die out or, just all eat their cyanide pills knowing they're no longer useful to the Founders and not being able to bear the failure and make way for the next generation of peacetime versions of themselves. it could get bleak as fuck if they wanted to go down that rabbit hole in that direction.
