I know it’a far quicker to use a torn up sponge to add distress texturing, but I find it to be messy and inconsistent in quality (sometimes too much paint, too little, kind of runny, etc.). Manually applying it may take ages but the end result simply looks more consistent.

Time to slowly batch paint the first level of highlights, then second level and finally little spots of Rhinox Hide for the damage. Can’t wait to get back to my Orks after this detour into Space Marines.
