I don't think so actually. I'm beginning to think this whole "broly movie style" thing may be a misconception.

My theory is that while some characters actually from the Broly movie are based off of how they looked there, the others were made following various modelsheets from their respective DB shows/movies and then the developers applied basic features from Shintani's art style like curved eyes and rounder faces.

The reason why Caulifla looks so good in the moba is because her body is actually proportioned correctly instead of her head being too big for her neck, her eyes being all bug-like, and her arms being ridiculously skinny
