IIRC Yahagi didn't just go "rejected" since he was an artist too and he helped Kishimoto with the art on occasion. He also cut down Kishimoto's bad habits like info dumps (Compare Naruto's first chapters with Samurai 8's, when Yahagi isn't around anymore), suggested the chunin exam to include other villages faster, and he pushed to keep the plot unpredictable in fun ways, such as Orochimaru crashing the chunin exam, instead of going with the tournament until the end.

While Yahagi did squeeze Kishimoto, he tried to help on the writing as well. Wonder what he's up to nowadays.

Agreed, it's weird that Naruto and Sasuke are basically brothers not related by blood, but all the time they spent together was: Kakashi's first training, Land of the Waves, Chunin exams, then they went their separate ways to train, only really met again when it was time to fight Gaara, Itachi showed up and put Sasuke in a coma, and after Tsunade helped him out they had a fight in the hospital, and then Sasuke left with Sound Four... I'm an amerifat who started with DBZ, so to me, Gohan is the main character. He is introduced to the gang on Roshi's island, where everyone on screen knows each other, except Gohan and the viewer. When he gets kidnapped, the show keeps going back to him in the pod. He's the one who breaks Raditz' armor and start the real opening. The training arc is a mix between him, the humans, and Goku. Goku spends most of his training arc running on snake way. Gohan powers up from a 4 year old to a kid who is literally the third strongest on Earth (Goku, Piccolo, Gohan, the humans). Piccolo dies for him. He comes back to save Goku, he fist fights Vegeta, he oozaru's vegeta, and he literally is the one to actually hit Vegeta with the Spirit Bomb. Namek is literally about Gohan until Goku goes SSJ. Goku spends nearly the entire namek arc training or in a rejuv pod. Android saga and Gohan is the mentor to the brand new character and ends up taking center stage at the end, obviously. What is Goku doing for over half of the Cell arc? In bed screaming in pain. Buu arc opens with Gohan, but Toriyama wrote him like a fucking loser so he lost popularity and they shifted away from him being the MC. GT isn't canon. Movies aren't canon. Super is canon but it sucks so I just ignore it. Daima isn't canon.

I never really liked Goku. He spends most of Z Training, Dead, or Recovering. He doesn't really have much character to him either, in my opinion. The only times Goku ever has character in Z is when he asks to spare Vegeta and when he goes SSJ, the rest of the time he's just some guy who donkey stomps a character others struggled to even scratch, then he barely scrapes by with the final boss. I tried watching the sub, but I just can't deal with an old granny trying to sound like a little kid voicing a 50 year old alien man.

I play DBZ games to try and recreate fights from the anime as closely as possible, and to come up with cool hypothetical fights. I like any DBZ game that lets me do this, and tend to not like ones that don't. I do not like the 2D fightan because the fights are too small-scale. you're on a tiny arena, and a Solar Kamehameha only knocks the opponent back four feet. I should be able to send my opponent flying back a mile, smashing through mountains and levelling entire cities.
