Like 2 was good but I felt it went a little overboard with the secrets and shit.

3 was willing to experiment and try new things, which is fine but a lot of it didnt work out as well as they could have. Like in general I feel the levels aren't as good looking or well designed in general. Vehicle levels were kinda bleh too.
Now time trials of course were a stellar addition and adding coco as a playable (though at the time only for vehicle levels) was nice.
In general 1 is easier in a lot of platforming imo. but made "harder" by box respawn on death.
