Beginner skunk anon from like a day or two ago. Still no fish, Trip Number 14 in a row. 6AM to 12AM session.

Went out again to the Bayou levee. Fished Texas Rigs off the banks/plant cover while having 2 Santee Rigged Catfish (Cut bait on one and chicken liver on the other) setups in rod holders. Used Egg Loop knot to secure the baits.

Got nothing except pulling in a turtle off the cut bait (pic related) that I probably killed just trying to unhook the circle hook from it, which I tried from as distantly as possible with my pliers. (Guided him back into the water, mouth injured after he basically took the hook. I was too pathetic of a failure to manage to get it out ).

Tried my Ultralight setup for around 30 minutes hoping for a pity Bluegill at the end, nothing.

Next session will be a morning Kayak session at the landing nearby, which as usual will result in nothing despite me mirroring an exact video of someone else fishing the location.

Considering angler suicide still.
