Get whatever you like, but imho grown adults should avoid pop culture slop.
I like old engravings like pic related (not mine), also I have some high quality Turner copies, as well as antique botanical prints.
My brother in law has a lot of modern abstract stuff, which is not to my taste, but he likes it and it's his flat.
