Well, not that anon, but from what I remember of the setting, the furries started out as test tube babies to inhabit mars while the Earth was being plundered by giant autonomous capitalist megacities that harvested the planet's natural resources like a fat man at a Golden Corral. And yet, humanity gave far more of a shit about the test tube babies being turned into anthro gooner creations than the whole "Earth is being turned into a wasteland" bit until a bunch of furry Slenderman/Jeff the Killer ripoffs made Earth uninhabitable. And now basically hypercorporations rule the solar system with every furry now "employed" aka owned for life as a citizen/employee, and they live as essentially transhuman mercenaries and waging war on behalf of their capitalist masters or living glamorous furry lifestyles with their transhuman cyborg tech and 3d printing technology...well, except whenever they're dealing with evil furry Jeff the Killer, then it's very temporarily cthulhutech flavored cosmic horror.
I don't know if they changed it for 2e, but I cannot imagine that much would have changed, cause it'd be hard to flipflop from open capitalism worship to communist paradise due to how tied the megacorps are into the origin of the humanials
