this might be cringe but like in m3 how things are supposed to get better if you can get through the hardships, i hope things can get better for you.
itoi said how the fever mechanic was supposed to represent that.
and i think that's the point of the ending too.
the characters get through the world ending. they're all unconcerned with what comes afterwards and the ending feels serene despite everything.
it's supposed to be an expression of human strength.
they just have hope and know things will get better.
