I just love the messy attempts at making Hollyoaks an issues show. Whenever they have tried to do plots involving racism, trans stuff etc it has fallen flat. Hollyoaks is on par with fucking Doctors in the soap pecking order. They really went from the young person soap opera to desperate pandering weirdness.

Weird how Nathalie Emmanuel made her start in Hollyoaks as Sasha Valentine and now does fucking Fast and Furios movies. Her older brother in the show played by Ricky Whittle also made the move and starred in the CW The 100 show. The other Valentine was Devon Anderson who also starred in Kerching (another CBBC 2000s show) but he got booted off of Hollyoaks because he was suspected of rape
