>>211374698Troy or Scott?
Scott is classic but personally I prefer Troy.
I just got back from 2 weeks in London (leaf here) and how the fuck do you brits afford anything? The prices of everything were the same or more vs Canada, but in pounds. And my friend there makes a paltry salary (like 60k pounds) as a software dev. I don't think he can save anything for retirement.

>>211376612Some parts of London are expensive, the cheaper parts are very liveable.
>>211376930This doesnโt address the fact that bong salaries are disturbingly low, to the point that 100k would actually be considered an impressive achievement. How can anyone build a life in a country like that?
>>211377035The pound is a more valuable currency than the dollar, and a 100k salary is extremely livable in whichever country you're talking about, stop posturing
>>211377035Yeah we have shitty salaries. Partly due to Brexit (but retards will never admit that) leading to low investment, low economic output, and wage stagnation.
>>211377142We've grown faster than Germany or France since Brexit. Its hasnt been that much of an issue.

>>211377313They'd need to come up with a reason for them all hanging out again. The fact that they were still friends by the time of the second movie was pretty unrealistic.
Could definitely be funny though. I think it needs to be Neil having about six kids by three different mothers, Simon recently divorced with one kid who doesn't respect him, Jay in a bizarrely happy marriage with a normal down to earth wife and two kids, and then Will engaged to an absolute bitch who he suspects is just with him for money, and fuming about how much better things have turned out for Jay than him.
Throughout the movie have Jay giving really heartfelt, nice advice to the guys on how to get a marriage like his, only for it to come out that his entire relationship with his wife is based on a massive amount of lies he's told her.

I don't get why they don't just go in every couple of days or have an officer just sat there waiting till a smackhead walks in. surely eventually they'll have to come up with a different scam
At least a mattress store sells something that doesn't rot, costs thousands and is replaced fairly often. They sell one and they're done for the day so at least they can actually function as a store. Noone is actually going into the fake candy stores and paying ยฃ5 for a hershey bar
>>211381593Was that the one where it was people made up a CGI character and it was kind of like gladiators? I can't remember the name of it, but I think there was a PS2 game as well
>>211375305>from the constant harassment Anon it was one interview where was asked if he'd do the episode differently if he was writing the show today. He said yeah, it was a different time, everyone shrugged their shoulders and then he went home and started seething and went batshit insane on his own.
I was following him on twitter at the time. There was no constant harassment because he wasn't high profile enough to draw in people who remembered an IT Show episode. He got more shit for his campaigning for abortion rights in Ireland, the thing he was most focused on before that interview. I'm pretty sure he just needed something to focus on after his goal was achieved in Ireland and picked trannies on a whim and then completely lost it. He has no one to blame for his descent into thinking about trannies 24/7 but himself.

Does this count? It was the only teen drama show I ever watched because having it set in the post-apocalypse made me actually care about teenage pregnancies and bulimia and shit. Also the hairstyles and makeup made all the girls look hot. And Lex.

I ask this in every British nostalgia thread, and nobody ever remembers what I'm talking about. This would have been early 2000's, maybe as late as 2005. It was on CITV. There were these animated segments between shows where children would call in, and in real time, they would play a game by pressing buttons on their phone while the hosts, represented by very simple cartoons with moving mouths, would talk with them. It was a game where you had to launch a cow as far as possible, and the host was a girl called heavy betty or nutty natty or something like that, and that's what I can't remember, specifically what this little bit was and who the girl was. I'm strongly sure it was CITV but it could have been CBBC.

Now Jurassic Park's having to try and make new special dinos to be the big stakes shit instead of focusing on the real dinos.
>>211389898>>211389661Ste started out as part of the teenage pregnancy arc. He got his girlfriend pregnant and she had a baby.
Later on though he became gay and became part of the middle class gay people do stuff arc.
Then even later on he became "unwittingly Tommy Robinson" in an arc. He got attacked by immigrants and this group used him as their new speaker/figurehead. Then he got embroiled in a bomb plot as one member of the group tried to put a bomb in the muslim family's home that blew up.
But none of that compares with the guy who had the incel arc. He had a literal physical folder with memes in it! Because some boomer writer confused what folder meant.
>>211389544It was Sugar Rush! I forget if they ever fucked but I know the lesbian did get a gf at a point. I remember the plotline when she caught crabs off her crush because they shared a bed.
>>211390748Ste is a perfect example of how soap operas, over time, destroy characters purposefully and vindictively just to milk more melodrama. Another favorite example of mine is Nico Blake, who was just kind of a troublemaker and instead became a poisoning mastermind multi-murderer in about six weeks.
Or hell, great example is the Donovan brothers; they were introduced as just himbos who opened a salon and had a sketchy older sister, then it turned out Adam had a missing fiance, then it turned out Jesse fucked said fiance, and Liam dealt drugs with her, and then she wasn't really missing at all!
Twin Peaks's INVITATION TO LOVE doesn't even come close.
>>211390773>because they shared a bed. Oh yeah, THAT'S how it happened.
>>211390801I just love the messy attempts at making Hollyoaks an issues show. Whenever they have tried to do plots involving racism, trans stuff etc it has fallen flat. Hollyoaks is on par with fucking Doctors in the soap pecking order. They really went from the young person soap opera to desperate pandering weirdness.
Weird how Nathalie Emmanuel made her start in Hollyoaks as Sasha Valentine and now does fucking Fast and Furios movies. Her older brother in the show played by Ricky Whittle also made the move and starred in the CW The 100 show. The other Valentine was Devon Anderson who also starred in Kerching (another CBBC 2000s show) but he got booted off of Hollyoaks because he was suspected of rape
Have you been watching the Hollyoaks After Dark/Later shit when they tried to sex it up?
>>211390962>>Have you been watching the Hollyoaks After Dark/Later shit when they tried to sex it up?I haven't but I watched it like 15 years ago when it aired. It was unbelievably shit.

>>211391276That's the European rate without immigration. I'd prefer having to deal with an aging population than a complete breakdown of society.
Japan's birth rate has so far manifested itself as higher wages and cheaper houses, the standard of living is actually increasing.
Of course, because the arbitrary meme value of "GDP" is going down it must be some huge crisis.

>>211391457>waiting for it to get good sounds pretty retarded of you, anon
>>211388815>>211388886Misfits is really strange, because people talk about the cast getting worse as the reason they stopped watching it, but the actual writing gets really fucking awful. It has the vibe of a show that started off with a good writer with a vision who left and got replaced by shitty writers, but no, it's the same guy all the way through - it's like over the course of the show he completely forgot how to actually write. Even basic, fundamental parts of the show, like the powers being related to the characters' personalities (nice writing, but also makes it much easier to incorporate the powers into the arcs), were completely abandoned in favour of fucking shite.
Bizarre.
>>211391715I've never been one of the people blaming the cast because I've always loved Joe Gilgun. It was 100% the writing that got worse. Wasn't it all due to the dude only having the whole Barry arc planned out and then they threw money at him to continue the show, forcing him to make stuff up on the spot and so it made less and less sense?
