I think it's a really funny dragging back down to earth for people who follow FF7 because of its long-term cultural contribution and cultural perception and not the actual realities of its game; it's kind of the ultimate reality check for GameFAQs. The writers don't regret Advent Children and beyond, the writers are completely aware the original game was written by the seat of their pants, the character writing is so good and so accurate that even the most staunch haters of the project don't list that among its complaints. And on top of it all they're competent action games that look pretty.

Somehow tokusatsu giant monster puppets coming out of the ground as planetary white blood cells and STILL not being able to figure out where the fuck Sephiroth/Jenova is is not retarded. Fuck off.

Why would it, the devs and writers are more ashamed of those Final Fantasy 10 novelizations where Tidus kills himself kicking a Bomb than they are AC and later.
