>No, we schooled the Manchus on cooking.
Glad you're admitting you're Chinese but we all knew that. But no, you didn't school them. You got schooled. Go read the book, seriously. Its great. They even have it in English. Btw, Manchus lived in a continental climate, not a tundra. In fact the little ice age was receding leading up to the time they started to rule China.

Anyway, let me remind you since you clearly don't know your own history, when the Qing dynasty (aka, the Manchus) took over China, they replaced your previous Ming dynasty cooks with their own. Eventually the Qianlong emperor invited CHEFS FROM OTHER REGIONS OF CHINA into the imperial kitchens and infused their styles into your existing ones and even mixing existing cuisines together. This is yet another point where MANCHUS INFLUENCED your peoples cuisine and the MANCHU-HAN BANQUET LITERALLY CELEBRATES THIS FUSION! As for the Zhejiang/Zhe food in your photo. Since the ports in Zhejiang were of importance to the kingdom, chefs from that region were invited into the imperial kitchens we well.

Look, I know you really want to convince everyone you guys are the epicenter of all Asian culture but its simply not true. You were conquered and influenced yourselves so many times by other peoples. Even by Mongols who also shaped your foods which we haven't even talked about yet.

And did you know that the Manchus were previously known as Jurchens? And did you know Jurchens previously had a dynasty in China before renaming to Manchus? In effect, you were ruled by Manchus TWICE. The first time they ruled China, (during the Great Jin Dynasty), they are the ones who spread soy based foods/sauces and noodle dishes through out China giving rise to your noodle dishes and soups. Also, did you know they birthed easily the most iconic Chinese food of all time, Dim Sum?

You really need to either actually learn your own peoples history or start being honest about it.
