Yugioh has made itself a shitty scam for both actual players and collectors because the players get prized out/ pay to winned when the cards are at their most relevant, and the collectors will lose what value a card had the second it gets reprinted to death. Its pathetically easy to address both of these things but the players are too retarded to strongarm konami into doing anything about it

The OCG model is/ was laughably close to this already but legitimately all you need to do with product is to cut down on retarded fluff so sets dont come with shit packfiller, and then print every single card as common, super and ultra (you could even cut useless garbage in between rarities like super and rare). Not a single card should get gatekept by pricing so now you can then leave secrets/starlights/ultimate rares as actual chase rarities with potential alt arts that will never ever get reprinted so they will hold their value and only increase with time

You can further fix the retarded convoluted nonsense by getting rid of the entire shit OTS pack model and just start telling stores to give off the latest product as pricing instead, which again promotes attendance because people are not only going to get relevant+playable cards by entering tournaments, they will potentially hit the actual jackpot and get one of the high rarity collector cards just like in the current OTS packs which are mainly wasted on reprinting random shit from 8 billion metas ago
