"flex" pages are some of the worst pages
That is to say, pages where the artist is flexing their artisty, being creative with the panelling, specifically to the extent that the reader is forced to notice it.

This page is immersion breaking, and that is its flaw.
You can't look at this page and be absorbed into the sequence of events, you are forced to bask in awe at the artistry of the artist, you are reminded that you are looking at drawing on a page and not characters in a scene.

The readability of the page has been forced to take a back seat by the ego of the artist
