There is NOTHING WRONG with getting rid of the salary cap at this point. It made sense in the 90s when the league in many ways was still immature and growing. But now even pissant teams are valued well over a billion dollars. The league should abolish the cap and let the rich teams spend freely again. There are still enough stupid owners that having the most money wouldn't necessarily translate into success. And at this point if an owner can't field a good team with team valuations at what they are, that's a failure of them as an organization.
