Well, it was not nearly as bad as Ryza that's for sure. These issues are more common in other low budget anime but they still show up in high budget anime that use CGI. Imo it's a form of corner cutting and it's a shame that there are so few studios that still do hand drawn backgrounds and art.
There was some interview not long ago where a studio insider was saying that a lot of new animators are so reliant on CGI that projects actually get held up because the animators can't start drawing stuff without first having a CGI mockup of rooms and stuff.

People didn't though. Look through the actual threads. It was just the one guy posting that by themselves with no one else mentioning it until way later to express confusion over why the person kept bringing it up.
