I was one of the guys busting your balls. Unironically, an ALICE Pack and TAPs are the best recommendations. Both things I started out with. Don't mind the fact I'm missing my waist belt, I removed the tactical tailor one I had on it for the standard hip belt (too bulky for my liking), but I cannot seem to find the strap at the movement. Still, its tons of fun piecing together kits like that M1 carbine rig I had posted earlier.
