this is so daft. maybe it's because i live in the north east but every dialect has its little bits you don't understand, but if you hear someone say, "i cannae dee it, it's too hard," how does your brain not fill in the blanks? "oh, 'i cannot do it', got it"?

i've read poetry and heard songs in Proper Scots(TM) and yeah fair enough those are something else. but a person just speaking in their accent isn't any trouble, and i don't get how it would be.
