oils (fat) tend to work well with the effect on cannabinoid receptors.
water-based lube might clog your https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anal_sinuses and it also has irritating effect (for me). personally I quit using water lube since I wouldn't need to wash off the oils after each session, in fact it is advised not to wash the cbd/fats off so it can work all throughout the night!

it should be and noticeably it would be gone for some reason like it has been absorbed.
I also would avoid silicone/rubber toys at this point since they tend to react with oils reducing absorption (my toys tend to absorb moisture and oil, if you still haven't upgraded to glass/metal toys then use condoms on silicone toys to make them less absorbent!).
the more consistent you use oii/fat lube and CBD the more engorged your butt will be. it was annoying when I started getting puffy anus even while standing or walking that I had to "tuck it in" (as absurd as that sounds...) but it feels so great when I finally get to plap my butt.
I would say even 15mg (1mL w/ carrier) is probably way too much for ass-only purposes, currently I barely use up a single capsule and just put few drops into my glass toy. You know that it is working when you feel like your blood flow is really good (at night or during sesh), I think it's a vasodilator of sorts and I also felt my previously injured nerves tingle, technically it is therapeutic and can make anal fun so win win. I would sleep thighsocks to help with vasodilation (as the heart pumps harder, it's why some people get anxious with CBD which is in fact anxiolytic).
some say there is diminishing returns with taking too much CBD, as it would have vasoconstriction effect.
