Family guy was, and still is, better than South Park. South Park was always preachy and with bad takes, the novelty of it just masked those aspects better.
Spirited Away is a bad story and pointless movie. It's the most basic Isekai premise possible, 90% of its runtimes does nothing at all to help the protagonist get home, and effectively nothing happened besides "parents drove into a weird alley, looked around for a bit, then left". The music and visuals carry it. Jumanji is the better isekai and came out first. The fantasy board game adventures actually meaningfully affect the real world, and have a point to it. Plus you get funny monkey antics and Robin Williams acting to keep you entertained, Spirited away is BORING.
Megamind should've been live action, the writing and humor is perfect, but the visuals and most of the most voice cast falls flat. Live action would've added to the surreal comedy and tone like Mike Myers cat in the hat, even if the effects inevitably would have been shit. Inversely, making King of the Hill animated was the right move. Drawing such mundane situations demands you pay more attention to them, so you're engaged with the dry humor.
Marcell Yankovics understood animation as a means of abstract storytelling better than anybody in the industry. Even Walt Disney and Richard Williams.
I never thought of Ratatouille as anything better than slightly above average at best. It's the most overrated Pixar film.
Snyders's changes to Watchmen's ending are for the worse. Manhattan being blaned for the explosions would've pointed fingers to his American handlers. The Aliens plot from the comic was better, space aliens have no political affiliation.
