This version of Discard Dragon was one of their strongest decks of all time. You could ramp without sacrificing too much tempo, then draw through most of your deck and OTK. Even if you didn't, you ended up with a thick board that's immune to spell damage/destruction.
Uranus got nerfed partially because of them, if I recall correctly. It was intended to be a tech card against Ultimate Bahamut, but classes that could draw most of their deck ended up abusing him. They also had a bunch of cards restricted in Custom Rotation, a format which pitted Rotation decks from all time periods against each other (older decks got buffs like built in ramp, card draw, healing, and evolve point recovery)
