I got my first smitty's box in the mail today! Both patterns are pretty basic. But I haven't tied either before and the intermediate one will be using the peacock feathers in a new way for me. I've only used strung hurls and not the thicker quills.

The beginner pattern is a foam beetle. I got 25 size 12 dry fly hooks, a spool of 6/0 black uni thread, some 2mm foam, prism dubbing, a sheet of rubber leg material and a long piece of indicator yarn for making the wing.
