I think this was literally done to show how much power the editorial has over the fans. It is kind of a power/shame move against the audience. That Breevort guy was on twitter boasting that MJ and Paul were having the most sex out of all Marvel couples. It’s a humiliation ritual. It is telling the fans who much scum they are and that they will keep reading. Kind of like a meta-cuckoldry.

It’s kind of like the government’s official narrative that Epstein committed suicide. The government wanted you to believe that when Epstein committed suicide the cameras were not working and that there was no guard posted outside his cell. This is the government saying they can say anything and the people can do nothing about it and have to take it.
