Appreciate the replies

I'm pretty much at peace with what recovery will be like in terms of pain and not being able to eat properly

My biggest anxiety is the actual general anesthetic cause i just can't get my head around the experience of skipping time so suddenly (unless its similar to blacking out drinking)

So i guess it's more of a mental game about the unknown

Either way all these responses have been helpful, I picked a good surgeon and am spending a lot of money to get it done i know I'll be fine , just hating the anticipation
