If that scum smokes, there'll be cigarette smell, perfume smell, and other things too. Old man smell lol. Is this a heart-melting phrase the author was told by his rental girlfriend?

For some reason, Umi-kun helped her out during crowdfunding. This time he ran into Zuru who had walked from Odaiba. Things are always so sudden.

Mizuhara's "no" is more affectionate than ever, which makes me feel bittersweet. She doesn't really push him away, and deep down she wants to entrust herself to him, but she can't because she cares about Kazuya's future. She feels guilty and rushes to give him an answer, but it's heartbreaking to see Mizuhara's conflict as she doesn't want to become a procrastination woman. She probably felt relieved when she smelled Kazuya's grandfather because Kazuya's kindness and reliability overlapped with her memory of her grandfather. (Picrel)
Just changing "I'll look into it" to "I might like it" is enough to make progress.
The structure of Mizuhara refusing and Kazuya not backing down is similar to Kazuya and Ruka's relationship, so it's still a long-term battle.
Kazuya's attempt to get Ruka to give up would be even more difficult because it would mean denying himself for continuing to pursue Mizuhara.
When it comes to the duplicate key, does that mean returning the borrowed key and ending your cohabitation? If he gives her the duplicate key to the new house, Mizuhara's "no" will become meaningless.

Mostly jokes about that "grandpa's scent" line (they think it's an insult), nips disapproving and getting the icks from Kazuya's stubborness (the softest claims being him being a creep and a shitsukoi) and realizing this will only give Ruka more power, even from the most fanatic zurufags, they think this will only make Kazuya's attempts at breaking up with Ruka more difficult, even probably reach an ironic conclusion, because Kazuya's own growth and needs are being held back by his obsessive feelings.
