There was an employee lawsuit at Intel back in the day over a guy putting a plant on his desk. Only managers could have a plant. Mid level managers could have one plant and higher managers could have more plants. This engineer wasn't a manager... so no plant allowed. They fired him. He won the lawsuit, sort of. He was allowed to keep his plant, but Intel wasn't going to water it for him. In other words, the place sucked ass for a long time. If AMD hadn't fucked itself over in the late 2000's when they moved everyone to Texas and sold off their flash memory division (precursors to SSD drives and cell phone memory)-- Intel would have died over 10 years ago. Engineering companies must be ran by engineer's and not fucking accountants or ivy league EBITA acronym spewing MBA's.
