I really enjoyed Superman but I'm pretty annoyed that everyone immediately jumps to sequels and shared universes without giving individual movies room to stand on their own. Superman is a great movie. That doesn't mean anything for the sequels and spinoffs which could very well wind up being shit. Let's just appreciate the movie we have right now.

It's doing well domestically, not so much internationally. I think it deserves better numbers, but that doesn't surprise me. Superman is a very American IP. And this movie especially was definitely intended for an American audience given its message and themes.

Superman (2025) is way better than The Batman (2022). If they're gonna reboot the DCU, they should reboot Batman as well. Stylistically, Nolan's Batman trilogy is nothing like Gunn's Superman but it'd be legendary cinema if they could somehow figure out how to get the two to coexist.
