Eh.
Even as a reader and fan of comic books, I wish Hollywood made more original movies. I liked F1 way more than Superman, despite being a huge Superman fan.

But, with some hope and luck, there could be some fun shows or movies out of the DCU.
Supergirl and Clayface will be interesting, I'd love to see a new Batman film which actually features a Robin for a change.
I'd love a TV show or movie about the Justice Gang or Jimmy Olsen.
But this is Warner Brothers we're talking about, so I am every bit expecting them to fuck this up

I really enjoyed Superman but I'm pretty annoyed that everyone immediately jumps to sequels and shared universes without giving individual movies room to stand on their own. Superman is a great movie. That doesn't mean anything for the sequels and spinoffs which could very well wind up being shit. Let's just appreciate the movie we have right now.

Not at all. Joker to Joker 2 is proof enough that WB can't do shit right, and then there's their games. Oh god, the games have been a disaster for years. Even if this is off to a good start, that's never stopped them from shooting themselves in the head before.
Also, this is still hollywood we're talking about. We've all seen the MCU fuck up for going on 20 years now. I already know how this story will go.
