Yahweh being the name of the Biblical God is actually how you know he's legit and really exists and that it's not a man-made deity. This is because 'Yahweh' - YHWH - is actually not even really a name at all, it's actually a description of a state of being and/or some kind of figure of speech in Hebrew that God uses to describe himself. Almost no religious people even seem to think about the meaning of this and the actual depth and gravity of it (probably because the name itself was edited out in most versions of the Bible for hundreds of years thanks to jews).
When God introduces himself to Moses via the burning bush (significant in and of itself and telling about the nature of this deity that it appears vicariously through some natural phenomena rather than as some gigachad humanoid like all other semitic/ancient world mythological deities) God describes himself like
>Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”
>God said to Moses, “I Am Who I Am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I Am has sent me to you.’”
The exact phrasing of this weird esoteric 'I Am Who I Am' phrase can actually be read as like "I Am Being Itself." Historians worked out that yhwh the 'name' just comes from a hebrew verb yhw meaning 'to be' or 'doing.'
i.e. Yahweh isn't even really a name but a description of what God is.
Yahweh is the only known deity - especially from this time period - that names and describes itself in such a strange, cosmic and inhuman way. It's anachronistic compared to all the other mythology at the time and hints at a modern cosmological understanding of equating God as the universe. This is how you know Yahweh is God, legit the real deal because no bronze age desert goatfucker could've ever come up with it. This is why the name's important
