I have a query to /wfg/ but also a discussion point. The reason I came up with this is that the meta in my local seems about high optimisation and competitiveness.

My proposition is: The reason so many people in TOW, on average, are very competitive is due to the expensive nature of the hobby.

Simply put: I put lots of money in this hobby, I want to get good use out of it.

Do you think this is a fair assessment?

Inversely, BB seems a good mix of casual and competitive because a full "army" is quite cheap in the mid two digits.

How true do you think this is?
