This is from a cgi trailer for SwooShit but I think it's the same in game, when you gigantamax you see the pokemon growing in size (or rather generating the hologram) and the giga look is there since the beginning
Although I guess what you initially see could be an altered hologram already and you just see it grow from "slightly larger" to "fucking gigantic"
