I think they blew their load way too early with ShB/EW being the peak, after saving one world from a kino "when absolute Light wins, it's bad too" story and then literally saving the whole multiverse from the big evil you've been fighting since day one, where do you go from there? Dawntrail is a filler expansion after you've peaked way too hard
