If you want edgy scary "mankind must suffer" Godzilla, the Original film, Shin Godzilla or Godzilla Minus One or Godzilla Mothra, King Ghidorah Giant Monsters All Out Attack! are all absolute kino.. For the fun Heroic Godzilla who you root for and who mostly just slaps around threats to humanity/earth? Destroy All Monsters [1968] and Godzilla King of the Monsters [2019] are both good. There's also Godzilla vs Kong New Empire which actually is mostly a King-Kong focused story where he gets a shitton of screentime and there's some GREAT monster fights.

Most of the recent Legendary Godzilla films have been good for that. Godzilla King of the Monsters, all the Godzilla vs Kong flicks are heavy on kaiju clashes. Godzilla Final Wars is a nonstop bossrush of every major monster in the series history and the story bits are superhumans fighting aliens in insane highway motorcycle kung-fu battles and wrestlers piloting giant submarine spaceships to fight aliens

That said, you're a fucking ill-raised zoomer retard, the older films are fun even with the clunky vfx.
