I feel like if someone really respected Ueda's games, they wouldn't try to remake them in the first place
even if you were trying to be as respectful to the material as humanly possible it's still nobody's place to tamper with the original work, and it's disrespectful to think that you can improve upon it, especially artistically
it's ironic how so many people are fixated on games being art yet these same people are content with an entirely unrelated dev team on the other side of the world remaking the games they almost universally consider to be art. about as stupid as trying to remake the Mona Lisa
