This is where the difference in our philosophy lies. You are looking for the moment when the card design became so blatantly overblown that it is undeniable, which is an acceptable approach. I am looking for where virtually every aspect of the game (gameplay, lore, marketing strategy, internal philosophy, etc) started warping from what I fell in love with to what I now resent, and my conclusion is that it all stems from the move away from three set blocks. The hardh reality I've accepted is that even though there are cards from the few years in between ORI and WAR (and even some beyond that timeframe) that I appreciate and would like to keep around in this theoretical format, they must be sacrificed.
