If you answer anything besides "I am excited to see this game" then
>You don't actually want to play the game you're designing
>You're releasing into a saturated market, where you don't care about playing yet another game in that market
whereas if you're happy that someone released the game, it means
>You actually know what the appeal of your game is
>There is an under-served audience waiting for games like yours to release who will also be excited and support you

I fell into this same trap at first. My early projects were just trying to find what I was good at. The moment I started my most successful project I knew from the start it'd work out because I noticed there was no real competition, just a lot of people starving for content.
My game started as a list of suggestions I gave to another developer because I wanted that sort of content but the developer wasn't doing it and I realized that it'd never get made unless I did it myself.

If someone made my game, it'd be great. Instead of wasting years to make a dream come true someone else would've put in all that effort for me. You should want the game to be made.
