I only saw RWBY and that Mega Man X video. The Mega Man video had a weird climax, but was otherwise pure kino. RWBY had a lot of potential, but never recovered from killing Roman. Monty's death was obviously a massive blow, but anyone with a modicum of talent and passion could have saved the story.
