How do you look back on them?
Group of white guys ruined by women.
Many such cases
never funny when they try
stopped caring halfway through blood gulch saga
cheevo hunters was fun but again when they are trying to be entertaining they suck, the adlib fucking around shit is hilarious
>>713396659 (OP)Didn't Burnie buy the company back and start it up again?
>>713396659 (OP)Bunch of middle managers that didn't have what it takes to scale their company correctly and let things spiral out of control. Which they essentially self admitted. honestly, It's kind of amazing AT&T/WB didn't shut them down a lot faster.
>>713396659 (OP)I can understand why they donโt own rwby anymore.
I don't. I look down on them.
from like 2012 to 2014 I watched all their lets plays and podcasts religiously
god I was such a little faggot
>>713396659 (OP)Ryan did nothing wrong
>>713396659 (OP)I still watch old AH stuff, like pre-Jeremy, it's fun, and if I'm playing an older game on Steam and feel like getting some of the achievements I'll watch some of their guides where they just shoot the shit and vaguely describe how you get the achievement in-between
>>713396749this
>>713396659 (OP)they did some halo thing right
thats all i can recall
>>713397560They also failed pretty hard at monetising their content delivery as well which didn't help things.
>>713397509He posted a 1 minute video about it like 4 months ago but that's about it
I think he's gonna revive some of the company's projects but most of the staff have completely moved on and out of Austin so I doubt he'll bring the company back 100%
I rewatch funhaus stuff all the time.
Elyse genuinely might be the funniest woman that's ever existed. It's insane to see someone who can keep up with Bruce and James in jokes and actually make good jokes.
>>713398081I never would have thought 10 years ago that I would be keeping up with Lawrence's shenanigans out of all of them. I tried to give Bruce a chance and watched some of his streams but he's kind of a pissy little manchild when things don't go his way or anyone dares to go against him
>>713398081The ponytail bit alone still cracks me the fuck up.
>>713398213Lawrence is extremely unfunny most of the time.
>>713397674Kinda wonder where he's at nowadays.
>>713398295Never said anything about him being funny. He's just the one I check in on once in a while.
>>713396659 (OP)Does anyone know what they are up to these days?
>>713398301He has a kid and has a YouTube gaming news channel with Lawrence "Inside Games"
It's mildly successful, with about 40k views a video. It's been getting more popular which is nice to see.
>>713398213Yeah Bruce's temper tantrums over non issues put me off completely
>>713396659 (OP)All I remember is watching Michael beat the shit out of Gavin in every game. Good times generally, but they were ruined by shit management and diversity.
>>713397839It's probably too late by now

>>713398575RT was never really gonna make a comeback

>>713398635https://youtube.com/@insidegames?si=pmJB7vlYMnNNXiSY
>>713398418Most of the staff didn't really amount to much else.
Ray is literally the only one who actually became successful after leaving that company
>>713398978Ray had the 10% foresight and 90% luck to get in good on streaming before it became over saturated.
>>713396659 (OP)RvB is so offensively unfunny and terrible narratively but free-form improv stuff like (most) of the Let's Plays or the RT Podcast (before they started doing the video stuff) is pretty funny. It's a funny contrast
>>713396659 (OP)They had no idea what they were doing
Being able to make funny content doesn't mean you can run a company
They should have hired a dedicated manager instead of trying to do it all themselves
>>713398081Elyse was funny before she went too hard cali, when you watch the unedited and live stuff she was always killing "offensive jokes" and the like after about 2017-2018 is when she really started declining.
But when Alanah joined was the ultimate end.
>>713398851Pedo Ryan.
Redstate has his own twitch and youtube. Still uses em.
>>713399078I'd say it was mostly foresight. Lets Plays died out in popularity a few years after he left and Twitch became the main money making source for streaming
>>713399117I remember after avoiding this shit for years, one of my friends puts on a fucking 10 hour compilation of this and I just sat there stonefaced the entire time and he asked me what was wrong.
>>713399213Isn't Alanah famously a fraud too?
>>713399292You'd could argue that he was smart enough, or really more his wife was smart enough, to build a brand and make a secondary merchandise shop to really secure a steady revenue stream to the point where they have a small team that they can have on payroll. I highly doubt 2013-2015 Ray was intelligent enough to do that without the gain the experience and intelligence to run a small business.
>>713399410Yes, She is a prime example of someone who sucked cock to get everywhere in life she is even fucking a guy who can get her ins with hollywood these days. Don't be shocked if you see her with a writing credit on some netflix show in the near future.

The 2020 podcast about the BLM riots was the moment I lost all respect for them
They did nothing but shill for them also Geoff started repenting about being a white guy and cried when he told the story about how he visited a slave plantation on a trip. It was the most cringey shit I've ever seen on the internet
>See people talking about Rooster Teeth falling off
>Realize they're not talking around the time that RvB switched to Halo 2 and became cringe jokeserious shit, but genuinely ten to fifteen years later
Rooster Teeth went to shit so long ago that you could buy physical copies of their bad releases at your local Blockbuster, and it came with a prerelease trailer for Halo 3.
I sincerely do not get how people watched this shit into the 2020's.
>>713398418Geoff and Gavin kept doing fuckface with Andrew, Nick, and Eric. That's all I keep up with

>>713402850Also it kinda sucks that the community went to complete shit, some of the guys from back in the day were pretty fun to play TF2 with
I remember watching a Halo Reach series called Fails of the Week and some other series I canโt remember. It was two dudes, Jack and Geoff I think, whoโd just react to funny gameplay footage in Halo Reach submitted to them by their fans. I think that was Achievement Hunter or something. That was all I cared about in regards to Rooster Teeth. I always found RvB, RWBY, and those cringy little animated sketches they did so painfully fucking cringe inducing. I did like Machinima a lot and loved creators like Jon Graham and Lyle Rath but anything that wasnโt directly associated with actual videogames I just never really gave a fuck about
>>713396659 (OP)they weren't interesting back then, they're not interesting now
>>713403185Yeah, Fails of the Week was pretty good. Jack and Geoff hosted a lot of them, but they rotated hosts on it.
It was a good substitute since the demo system in Halo sort of sucked because of the Xbox Live requirement to trade them.
I have absolutely no idea what or who you're talking about? Who the hell cares for stramers and e-celebs? How fucking long ago was this garbage?

>>713399947Geoff is mostly to blame for AH going to shit. He knew how to fuck around with his friends, not how to retain talent and lead an organization. Probably was his idea to shoehorn Lindsay into every video.
Reminder if you like Ryan you got what you deserved
>>713399942yeah, Regulation Podcast
honestly, it's not the best. Eric is a whiny faggot who adds nothing whatsoever, Nick can really take the wind out of a segment. Andrew, Geoff, and Gavin are pretty much the same, though.

>>713396659 (OP)I've never watched any of their content.

she has this 'thing' where she'd ask a question, every body has to stop and think on what the fuck she asked, then she'd just go "okay", and brought on unironic silence to the video, leading someone having to kick-start a conversation

I feel like he made the show interesting and then around 2022 or 2023 he started phoning it in hard. Last episode he had nothing, while Gavin and Geoff picked up the slack. The only good bits from him are when he says something so dumb, the whole group makes fun of him for half the episode. Still not as bad as Eric though
I spent at least a decade watching AH near daily. Once Ryan got fired, the company essentially shuttered, but there were some great videos. Fuckface/Regulation Podcast is pretty fucking great.
I watched a lot of AH, but the pinnacle under the RT umbrella was CowChop, at least until James left.
>>713398213I clocked out after Kovick went full coomer and just assumed there was a sleeper cell of sex pests at RT afterwards. Thatsaid, I do recall briefly watching one of Bruce's early Twitch streams and every single time someone received a gift sub, he would demand those people "pay it forward" which meant paying for more gift subs. I've seen camwhores less greedy than he was.

>>713405951the environment sure has changed regarding content creators and the community. over 10 years ago a community member could put themselves out there and actually have a chance to work with RT. >>713396659 (OP)I only saw RWBY and that Mega Man X video. The Mega Man video had a weird climax, but was otherwise pure kino. RWBY had a lot of potential, but never recovered from killing Roman. >>713406963see
>>713405919The entire content creator/e-celeb era is over for the little guy. Youtube now values and pushes big brand channel with high budgets and sidesteps everyone else with its new algorithm changes.
Also Tiktok and Twitch are taking up most of Zoomers attention spans. Your best bet is to try to make it on Twitch but even that is next to impossible
>>713396659 (OP)RWBY was actually interesting in the first 2 season until the main writer is gone
>>713407359What are you on? Season 1 and 2 were incoherent nonsense. 3 and forward were dogshit in a different way but that doesn't mean it wasn't a bunch of people bashing anime tropes together and hoping a plot would miraculously come out. Somehow every character sucked and every subplot competed to see who was the most cancerous and they all won. RWBY is probably the single worst animated show that managed to become mainstream ever made.
>>713407271>Your best bet is to try to make it on Twitch but even that is next to impossibleNext to impossible isn't impossible. Honestly this is no different than trying to make it into a major sports league or Hollywood. They're astronomically difficult to get into, but to quit before even starting or because someone told you that you can't, means you were never going to make it in the first place. It kinda makes sense that they'd be expensive.
Like the Homestarrunner DVDs since the only rips available on like, Youtube got assraped by google discarding a shitload of data and weren't ripped in very high quality to begin with.
Like it was only 2019 we got a good quality version of Grumblecakes, These People Try To Fade Me, and It's Like It Was Meant To Be. That weren't trapped as a DVD extra or a flash file on a soundtrack CD that aren't sold anymore

I find it bullshit that Eric (and Nick) both get to double dip with ownership interests in two popular podcasts, while neither are the real talent. At least Nick has tech skills, Eric's role is to be a contrarian, constantly talk about Trump, and saying "this rules".

>>713396659 (OP)Their overall relevance died with the Xbox 360.
I stopped tuning in somewhere in 2013 when RvB was taking itself too seriously and I did not care for achievements.
Sometime past year I heard of their closure from Joshua Moonstein because a girl in the cast name drop Kiwifarms which made the all the parasites that came well after the original members uncomfortable because name dropping KW would affect their careers sucking cock.
Tell me /v/, did any internet famous person manage to live a successful life afterwards? Most ecelebs seems to have been cursed. I think only Handsome Tom and Stuttering Craig ended more or less alright but I do not know what the hell happened to screwattack, they died with Gametrailers right?

>>713398081agree 100%
i watched achievement hunter/letsplay first and i couldn't stand lindsay/mica, but when i watched funhaus back then elyse was always funny
>>713415217That was the most heartbreaking case of TDS, his shit became unreadable.
>>713400491>cryaotic had some sex scandal thing and disappeared>one of the yogscast members had some sex scandal thing>both achievement hunter and funhaus both had a member do some sex scandal thing around the same time>cow chop didn't last long before it diedi guess i'm just going to spend the rest of my life watching asmond
>>713415464If you thought Lindsay and Mica were bad, they hired some other black lesbian who was the most obnoxious and unfunny person alive. She'd either repeat jokes people made literal seconds prior or snort laugh at dumb shit. I stopped watching at the very end, but they hired her another unfunny black girl after the snorter left. I also think they hired some other unfunny diversity hires right at the end, to fill the massive void from Ryan getting the boot.
>>713415471I tuned him out by 2012 when all his shit became some variation of "Here are the real-life flaws of some 80s toy or TV show". Shit wasn't even close to being funny.
It's weird thinking about how he's almost 50 and his best stuff was a quarter century ago.
>>713415318No, I don't think I will.
>>713415735yet when they added jeremy i thought he was pretty funny, matt seemed kinda boring but i never really watched much of him
>>713396659 (OP)The most enduring thing I remember about Rooster Teeth is how Tatsudoshi (Kdin) getting a job with them completely fucked up the circle of smalltime Youtubers I watched at the time. A few of them ended up better off than ever. PhantomSavage and KZX are both still going, but the content just isn't the same, Phantom doesn't even do let's plays anymore. And most of them faded off into obscurity.
>>713396659 (OP)>Last night I cock mouthed your sisterI donโt get it
>>713396659 (OP)Same way I look at Konami.
>>713404362This shit just reeks of overcompensating for being a boring bitch with no personality. She would always suck all the joy out of the air whenever she was in a lets play.
>>713398081>Elyse genuinely might be the funniest woman that's ever existedEven funnier than Joel?
>>713396859>the adlib fucking around shit is hilariousGTA V Train Hopping is one of my favorite videos of theirs.

God it was sad seeing them decline.
These threads are always an interesting read, seeing the anons who followed RT after the first wave fans left. I did not care for the 'plot' they developed during the RvB halo 2 arc and didn't go back sometime before halo 3 came out. The comics were good and the one offs they did for Microsoft Studios games were mostly okay.
That said, I still recall RvB being the first thing I seriously watched on Machinima (later their website when I caught up to the current releases).
>>713406471apparently it's too painful (mentally) for his wife to have sex so Jack is basically a married incel
>>713408069masturbating in the workplace is a pretty big deal
>>713410217in pictures of her from 10+ years ago when she was thin she was actually kinda cute
>>713415819matt really grew on after a couple years, one of my favourites in the last couple years of AH. he's doing fine as a livestreaming I think
>>713415835I don't understand anything you said, but isn't Kdin a tranny? The one they called him Fuggs or something similar in videos when it was a slur about him being a fag (pre tranny).
>>713415819The randomizer videos with Matt and Michael were the only good AH content for probably the last 3 years it existed, except the one Olympics video where they got Ray back.
>>713416057I remember they used to do videos where they would look at the things her and jeremy built in minecraft and it was always so awkward with Michael desperately trying to seem interested and everyone else not caring at all but being forced to participate
>>713415740Fair enough, but it was at least readable. He slowed down a lot in 2014-15, but as soon as Trump became the frontrunner he put out articles constantly and blew up his Twitter account, all bitching. It makes me sad, thinking back to his time at EGM, Broken Pixels, and his inspired early content at Cracked, and he ends up just being another whiny fag from California.

>>713416189>>713416441>mattfair at the very least when i saw him he wasn't annoying or anything like some of the girls, i just thought he didn't have the same level of energy as some of the other guys at least not when he first joined the group
>>713404362>look up if they're still together>apparently her and michael started an onlyfans together at some point while raising their kids
>>713416754its a SFW onlyfans, apparently involving cosplays. a weird platform to do that on due to the assumptions people would make with onlyfans
>>713416754I don't think there's any nudity, so I don't really understand the point.
>>713416323He is now, last I heard. He used to run a website called MultipurposeSpam with his girlfriend, Spazzy, a big fat retard who went by CornAndBourbon and literal out and proud lolicon Doc Sigma.
They'd do product reviews and a bunch of miscellaneous crap. Tatsudoshi ended up involved with a circle of Let's Players which included PhantomSavage, KZX, GFPPM, and TheKholdOne.
Kdin getting the job at Rooster Teeth was treated like a huge betrayal in that group. You couldn't bring him up on a livestream by any one of them without them showing some clear resentment. He had to sell out somehow to make it happen.
But, in the end PhantomSavage has over a million subscribers now that he dubs webcomics, and KZX trudges along being lucky to get a thousand views on a livestream VOD while his original channel appears to be lost for good.
>>713416980>>713416989well shit that's the first time i'm hearing about someone running a onlyfans that isn't even at least lingerie/softcore or something
*hires gaming personalities with no personality*
>Today's vid will be Geoff, Mike, Raul, Peter, Stephany, George, Susie, Aaron, Trayvon and Gavin playing Minecraft!
>>713414324never watched Mega64
if Eric is really the most famous one, i'd have to wonder fucking how. He's got no charisma and his smugness is incredibly boring. He's an infinitely worse Michael
>>713416654he's got some kind of disease. dude doesn't have long. RIP
>>713396659 (OP)The first couple of season of RvB were funny. I didn't keep up with anything they did after that.
>>713417029I remember PhantomSavage's dead rising letsplay from back in the day.
>>713406924>House era was absolute fucking peak CC.take me back
I remember watching funhaus videos and Lawrence would literally have I think it was /v/ right on the front page of his browser. It was either v or another 4chan board.
>>713418118I remember it being on his most used sites during one of the podcasts from a while back
>>713418118Pretty sure it was either just a tab he had open or something but they DID actually show a post from /v/ on one of their comment videos.
>>713410348that season 4 cover is so nostalgic
I miss the Creatures and CowChop, they were way funnier and more sovlful than RT/AH. Gavin and Michael are cool though
>>713399587>fapping on keyboards without washing your handsDegenerate
>>713417926I was one of the first 20 subscribers he mentioned at the start of the War of the Monsters Let's Play. I watched him struggle through cultivating an audience while trying his damnedest to create a metanarrative and his own take on a Let's Play, which was a really cool idea, only for it to stagnate, to only hit it big once he shifted gears. I even knew all of the in jokes and deep lore. His dad was a historical consultant for Native American archeology on Ancient Aliens, and he actually met Giorgio on multiple occasions as a result.
>>713396659 (OP)I don't, I moved on.
>>713396659 (OP)I miss Monty, I liked RvB somewhat.
They were too american so they got blacked and died. Now I can only mock them.
>>713399213>that auscunt still manages to float around like Death knocking on every door in the hallwayWon't be long until another falls to the curse that she seems to be carrying around.
>>713396659 (OP)Only ever really watched AH but I remember them fondly up until Ray leaving and them nepo hiring that Burton girl. Picked up Funhaus after that but lost interest when the pajeet and pearson kept showing up.
never really watched them
>>713401318>RWBYWhat? Is this comedy show somehow tied to that western anime?
