All carbines ranging from 11.5" to 16" (290mm to 406mm) are to be zeroed at 25 yards, regardless of optic. That is unless you are zeroing an SPR/DMR build, then I would recommend a 100 yard zero, since it is easier to estimate out to 300+ yards.
Once you are zeroed at 25 yards, consult the graph and learn it by heart to estimate your hold on target based on the range.
