the squad literally grew up on /pol/, /r9k/, kiwifarms, and the sharty. possibly some other altchans too. their whole life is based around edgy imageboard culture. they're also mostly still young so they've yet to undergo troll's remorse and turn into faggots, however this comes at the cost of them being super annoying and immature.
the clique are a mixed bag, they're almost entirely made up of oldfags that have undergone troll's remorse, oldfags that only ever used drawthreads and blue boards, and newfags from twitter that also only ever use drawthreads and blue boards. no matter which category they fall in, they tend not to understand imageboard culture or they actively reject it in favor of sanitization.
