I heard somewhere the movie has a Carl Sagan-esque vibe, is there something backing up this claim according to you? Does Elio really return to Earth plain and simple or is there a sense of wonder about what is found out there in the ending and throughout the movie? Like, not just cartoony alien adventures, but how aliens could actually change our lives?
