Gaster.
Truly, I don't think we'll see Gaster in the normal route. He will stay the puppet master. We will beat the game, banish the angel's heaven, and Gaster will congratulate us, tell us the world needs us no longer, and he is happy we together saw this unto completion, that he hopes we enjoyed this journey.
But... the weird route.
I have a question, truly, what is the goal of the weird route?
In the genocide route it was simple,
>Kill all monsters.
We could tell this from the beginning, we simply wanted to kill everything, and by doing that, we revived Chara. The Weird route's goal seems to be break fate, and what demon will we summon by breaking fate, Gaster. The writer of it.
Gaster will appear before us, wondering why we did it, why we waited all these years, just to destroy his deltarune, his magnum opus?
A game only exists for the person playing, Deltarune existed for us to enjoy, so we did we destroy it, why didn't we just follow the intended route?
And so, he will fight us. Because clearly that is what we want, not Deltarune, but HIM. He realizes we never wanted his story, his game, but to find him. Not to find the lost girl, but the Mystery man.

I genuinely think the only way to match the Sans fight is with a Gaster fight.
