>is it worth it
i think most grown adults who care about their appearance are used to spending about $150-300 for a pair of pants.
if it's your first time stepping outside of fast fashion, i would say that japanese jeans are a safe bet for something you will enjoy and get your money's worth from. they're the most popular men's pants that exist and versatile.

agree other than the progress photos part. its nice that you can look up a pair of jeans and get an idea what they're going to look like a year or two later. and it keeps the denim communities active.

bespoke ones are easily worth $800++
but you are right it would be hard to justify ready to wear.
it's a weird thing to complain about though. high end japanese jeans are one of the least overpriced things in the entire fashion industry.
and the guy buying $800 pants doesn't care how much his clothes cost to make. people buy overpriced crap all the time the entire luxury, designer, watch and jewelry industries are built off of this.
you're not the audience so nobody really cares what you think. i don't say that to be rude i'm not the market for that stuff either.
