the kojima hate comes from people seething about how much journos started praising and sucking him in the last decade
journos keep praising and sucking him because he is easy article material because he is the closest we have to a "celebrity" in game development. He is using himself as a brand, he makes big games that have his distinct style, he is more involved in directing than most other game devs are so there are a lot they can write about him, and he has overall a pretty good track record.

overall the seething and praise about him both have been pretty much on the same level over the last 10 years to the point where I don't think anything will change it. DS2 is a good example that he could drop a pretty good game with little to criticize about it, and the most vocal posters on /v/ will be still just seething about how he is a hack
